Fan fiction that I would like to read

As I read and watch certain books and TV series, sometimes there are things that are part of the story but don't get included in the book or TV show, that I think it would be fun to read fanfiction about.

That does sound like a rather long and convoluted way of saying "Here are some ideas for fanfics I'd like to read", doesn't it? In that case, to avoid further delays, here's the list.


- ReBoot: something set after the end of the series, which ended so suddenly that it's barely an ending at all (in fact, the last line is from Megabyte, who's just taken control of the Principal Office and is vowing revenge on the rest of the cast). Apparently this is because the show was cancelled, and I'm not all that surprised - the writing was generally not all that great, at least going by some of the dialogue. The idea behind it was quite nice, though, but it wouldn't work so well in a non-animated (and especially a non-visual) form. Despite that, I'd like to read something that resolves what's happened at the end of the series, either by having the "good guys" defeat Megabyte in some way, or by some other ending (it doesn't have to end with Bob et al. winning, but it probably would have in the series).

- Sailor Moon: we're shown what Usagi's like as Sailor Moon while she's got to fight enemies and so on, and we're shown a small glimpse of what she's like as Neo Queen Serenity. It's true that we only see the latter through Chibiusa's eyes, who obviously sees Neo Queen Serenity as her mother rather than just as a young woman, but the difference between Usagi as Moon and Usagi as the Queen seems to be fairly large. It seems to me that she must have faced some problems when she became the Queen (if only because her temperament is such that she's almost the last person you'd expect to end up ruling a planet), and I'd like to read about how she changed from the way she was before to the person that Chibiusa knows as her mother.

- Protector of the Small (Tamora Pierce): in one scene Raoul and Kel discuss how to save Raoul from his great-aunt's nagging at a party by him bringing Buri along, and only a scene or two later Raoul and Buri emerge from his room in various states of undress. It's obvious that something happened at the party, and why, but I'd like to know exactly what sort of conversation could have led to the events that followed.


It's true that the list's quite short, with only three series and one fic idea for each. I would include Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time prequels and bits set during the seven-year gap in the game, but I started writing things for both of those - so even though I haven't worked on them for ages, there's not much point in looking for stuff other people have written if I want to write it myself. And I'm sure there are other fanfics I'd like to read, but these are the ideas that stand out - the ones I'd like to see because it would fill in what I see as a gap in the series or book.

In summary, the ideas are: a decent ending for ReBoot; a reason why Neo Queen Serenity is calm, mature and nothing like she was as a teenager; and the conversation that ended up with Raoul and Buri in bed together. If anyone knows of good fanfics written around these premises, please let me know.

Y'know, I always just assumed that the reason Usagi was so immature as Moon was because she was a teenager. Then when she became an adult, maturity came with it. Nobody knows for sure but Naoko, I guess.
