Because it's making the rounds of my friends' LJs, and since I haven't posted for a while...
A - Act your age? I'm trying to forget the fact that I'm now twenty, so... no, certainly not. Act half my age, perhaps.
B - Born on what day of the week? Tuesday, thus I'm theoretically "full of grace". I'm not so sure about that, judging by the amount of times I stumble when trying to move around my room - it is rather packed.
C - Chore you hate? Well, I don't do very many. So... none? (Perhaps cleaning melted-on cheese off dinner plates. That's not very fun.)
D - Dad's name? Andrew.
E - Essential makeup item? Don't wear makeup, apart from nail polish (and that very rarely).
F - Favorite actor? Do they have to speak English? Um... I'll be teenaged here and go for Jeremy Irons, because he was wonderful as Scar.
G - Gold or silver? Silver.
H - Hometown? Watford. It's north of London, and it's not a city even though it's larger than some of the cities around here. We don't have a royal charter, you see.
I - Instruments you play? Depends on your definition of "play". I've had lessons for piano, violin and organ, but I haven't played any of them for a while.
J - Job title? Student. :D
K - Kids? I /am/ a kid. I haven't started work yet, thus I'm not an adult yet.
L - Living arrangements? At home, I live with parents. At university, I live in a block of rooms with three other mathematicians, a historian, a compsci, two linguists and a Fellow who gets the top floor to himself.
M - Mom's name? Susan.
N - Number of people you've slept with? I take it my plush Bulbasaur doesn't count? None, then.
O - Overnight hospital stays? None.
P - Phobia? Sharp things near my eyes. Any eye damage, actually (having bad eyesight, I don't want anything to happen to what little I have left). Also, depictions of mental illness - A Beautiful Mind left me shaking afterwards. (That could, of course, have been from my friend's rather worrying reaction to something in the movie related to anaesthesia.)
Q - Quote you like? I don't watch enough stuff in English to remember much, but I do like the "I've never seen one before, no-one has, but I'm guessing it's a white hole..." scene from the Red Dwarf episode White Hole. If you don't know it, watch it.
R - Religious affiliation? Discordian. All hail Eris! Er... technically, lapsed Catholic, once Church of England. Read through the Bible quite a bit when I was younger, at least.
S - Siblings? One brother, younger.
T - Time you wake up? Depends. During the holidays, between 8 and 9am, depending on when my parents get me up. During term time, between 8 and 11am, depending on whether it's a Sunday or how close to the end of term it is. (Mornings get later as term goes on.) Sorry, I'm just living the student stereotype...
U - Unique habit? Well, I believe this is unique... when I eat pasta, I eat one at the left side of my mouth, then one at the right, and so on, so that the molars on each side get equal wear. Except when I have wisdom tooth trouble, of course.
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat? Raw carrots... or non-grated carrots, for that matter. Parsnip. Oh, and sweetcorn - yuck.
W - Worst habit? Eating too much, when I don't do enough exercise to warrant all that snacking.
X - X-rays you've had? One, when I wore a pair of shoes that made one of my feet swell up. It was the only day I took off school in the first five years, too.
Y - Yummy food you make? I'd imagine microwaved food doesn't count, and I can't really cook, but... a sandwich with sliced cheddar cheese, raspberry jam, and toast. It's very nice, though you have to eat it before it cools down too much.
Z - Zodiac Sign? Pisces. I used to swim like a fish, too. Albeit a fish with a nose clip.
